I have found for most independent clinical dental practitioners to be successful in this endeavor, they need to know; what to focus their attention on, what to look for, where to look for It, what to do about It, why to do It, when to do It, who to do It to, how to do It clinically, who does It best, and how to market and sell their services. If they don’t know, they better find out when they want to be successful, and they better know how to make a profit from what they are offering to their patients. When they don’t know how to do all this, they will fail.

My purpose is to introduce to dentists as well as others the concept of providing integrative, interdisciplinary, comprehensive oral-craniofacial patient care. What it is, as well as the clinical and administrative methods and systems that are needed to effectively and successfully implement it into a clinical dental practice. They are the methods, systems, personnel, technical equipment, and offerings used to provide this type of patient care. To be successful, it also requires a unique patient care method, patient care system, practice business model as well as innovative patient offerings; which are the clinical services and dental devices the practice offers that patients need, want, and are willing to pay for. Therefore, in most cases, it is the dentists who will determine what the practice offers to potential patients all of which are based on the dentists’ advanced knowledge and unique clinical skillsets.

The dilemma is this method of patient care is not taught in dental schools in North America.
